For Andy’s, ThinkDoBeCreate moved their existing site to the WordPress platform. A custom theme was designed and developed. Custom page templates were created to meet content requirements and to prevent breaking of the layout due to content editing. One particular feature that was greeted with particular appreciate from the client was the ability to add a block of consistent content and a map by simply checking off a box (which he was previously continually copying and pasting).
The real highlight of the Andy’s project was the Flash-animated interactive kitchen. Users click on an appliance which leads to a page to choose the appliance similar to their model. For each model, points indicate where the model’s serial number might be found – very useful since this number is what Andy’s uses to order parts most efficiently. Each appliance page also includes maintenance tips.
